Aledo Foundation
New Education Foundation
For the past several years, community members have been working to support area schools by establishing a charitable foundation. Most of the legal groundwork has been completed and the foundation will begin operating soon.
Because of the impending consolidation of the Aledo and Westmer School Districts, the foundation’s by-laws are being adjusted to include all of the schools in both communities.
The foundation is being established to promote the aims and purposes of the school districts and to extend educational opportunities for the pupils, teachers and administrators.
A board of directors will oversee and manage the activities of the foundation.
Because the foundation has status as a 501c3 organization, all contributions are tax deductible. Persons and organizations wanting to contribute money should contact Laurie Benson (309/582-7704).
